In order to monitor digital copyrights worldwide the tool PHOTOPATROL was developed. Due to the innovative Frauenhofer watermarking-technology it establishes a new dimension in using and marketing digital pictures and graphics. Invisible digital signatures are directly provided in the pictures and allow user control and free of charge research of copyrights or copyright contacts.

The digital watermarks are not visible for the naked eye, but yet strong enough that it cannot be removed from the picture. The watermark also remains intact after changing of size or other picture alterations. Even printing or scanning the picture does not destroy the watermark.
