Curiosity: This is an internal project which is being run in cooperation with several stakeholders from the traffic control value chain all over Europe

For quick and pervasive deployment, autonomous driving has to take account traffic control infrastructure. The challenge here is the different speeds at which the two elements - autonomous cars and traffic control systems - are evolving. In recent projects, .objective has worked to fill the gap here. We develop real-time systems for traffic lights interfacing and timing prediction so as to enable augmented vehicle assistance services. Dedicated algorithms for queue estimation and lane-specific positioning complete the range of our expertise.
